The third generation Colorado and Canyon debuted in July 2022 for the 2023 model year, available only with a crew cab and a single bed length. Despite being a mid size truck, in some dimensions it is somewhat bigger than the full size Silverado, being built around the same chassis and frame. The Canyon is the GMC twin of the Colorado, sharing the L3B engine. The 2023 Canyon was the third generation, a crew cab only truck, with the L3B engine of the Silverado.
