The North American model was revealed on November 20, 2013 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and production began at Wentzville Assembly in 2014, with vehicles arriving at dealerships by mid to late 2014 as an early 2015 model year vehicle. In September 2014 General Motors added workers to the Wentzville factory after it received advanced orders of 30,000 Colorado and Canyon trucks. The 2015 Canyon was the first mid size Canyon, built at Wentzville in Missouri for the North American market.
