The third generation Colorado and Canyon debuted in July 2022 for the 2023 model year. The new model is available only with a crew cab and a single bed length. Despite being a mid size, in some dimensions it is somewhat bigger than the full size Silverado, built around the same chassis and frame while sharing the same engine. Its model years run from 2023 on. The Canyon shares its engine and chassis with the Colorado.
