EyeSight was made standard on all CVT equipped models starting with model year 2020. Rev hang, a problem in earlier WRX models, was reduced for the 2020 model year. The car is sold under the STI brand rather than the Subaru brand, which has caused difficulties importing the car into the US, and for the 2020 model year the WRX Series.White was made available, and in Canada the WRX STI Kanrai Edition. The WRX is an all wheel drive sport compact car originally based on the Impreza created for the World Rally Championship in 1992.
