Both the Trailhawk L and Trailhawk Elite models became available starting in 2017, adding uplevel features to the base Trailhawk model. In late 2017 Jeep moved Cherokee production to Belvidere after the Dodge Dart had been discontinued following that model year. The Trailhawk Elite and Trailhawk L added higher level features to the base Trailhawk, which had dark colored alloy wheels, and production of the Cherokee moved to the Belvidere plant after the Dart had ended.
