The 2018 Cherokee was the last model year of the Sport trim, which was replaced by the Latitude as the base model starting in 2019. It continued as a compact crossover SUV built at Belvidere, with the Overland as the top of the range. The Sport had been the base model of the range since 2014 and was replaced in 2019, and the Cherokee shared its Belvidere plant with the Jeep Compass and Patriot. Its engine range was unchanged.
