The Exiga of 2016 was in its ninth year, with the Crossover 7 version in Japan and the seven seat MPV with a 1,994 cc turbocharged H4 engine based on the Impreza WRX in the 2.0GT, coupled to the Lineartronic CVT. It was never sold in North America, unlike the Tribeca it was compared with. Active Torque Split transmission is used on engines without a turbo, and VTD is used with the turbo. The Exiga debuted as a concept car at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
