Subaru announced on 16 April 2015 that they would be releasing the Exiga Crossover 7 in Japan. The Exiga of 2015 was in its eighth year, the seven seat MPV sold only in Japan and Australia and Singapore, with the Crossover 7 version taking on the SUV look. The Exiga debuted as a concept car at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The Exiga is not classified as a compact MPV because its exterior dimensions are not in compliance with Japanese government regulations.
