Before 2016 medium duty trucks were assembled in Mexico under the Blue Diamond Truck joint venture of Ford and Navistar International. The Super Duty trucks and chassis cabs were assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake. The Super Duty is a dedicated heavy duty variant of the F Series, sold above the F 150 with Power Stroke diesel engines as an option. Ford assembles the trucks at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake.
