The B-Max of 2016 was built at the Craiova plant in Romania, where the first example had been bought by the President of Romania in June 2012 directly from the factory. The styling continued the Kinetic Design theme, with rear sliding doors and no B pillars. The B-Max was a mini people carrier built on the same global B platform as the Ford Fiesta, and Ford sold it across Europe. It was a short lived model with a single generation and no facelift, in the segment below the C-Max.
