Production of the B-Max ended in September 2017 because of dwindling demand and a general decline in sales of mini people carriers. Its nearest successors were intended to be the EcoSport and the Fiesta Active, a move from people carrier to SUV styling that Ford made across Europe. It was a short lived model with a single generation and no facelift, in the segment below the C-Max. The B-Max was a mini people carrier built on the same global B platform as the Ford Fiesta, and Ford sold it across Europe.
