By 2015 the B-Max had been on sale for three years without the mid cycle facelift Ford usually gives its cars. Ford's Emergency Assistance system, which alerts emergency services after an accident in the correct language for the region, was available in more than thirty countries, mostly in Europe. It was a short lived model with a single generation and no facelift, in the segment below the C-Max. The B-Max was a mini people carrier built on the same global B platform as the Ford Fiesta, and Ford sold it across Europe.
