On 13 July 2011 Toyota announced that the Hilux would receive a facelift, including a redesigned front end with a front grille similar to the IMV based Innova and Fortuner. The Hilux Vigo shared its ladder frame chassis platform with the Fortuner SUV and the Innova MPV. It was model year 4 of 5 in the Toyota Hilux (seventh generation, AN10, AN20 and AN30), 2004 to 2014, coming after the 2010 model year and before the 2012 model year.
