For 2004 the Crew Cab Super Duty gained headrests on the rear outboard seats. All F 450 chassis cabs used a Dana S 110 rear axle, while the F 550 had used a Dana 135 from 1999 to 2004. Ford also offered a Harley Davidson edition of the Super Duty from 2004 to 2007. The Super Duty is a dedicated heavy duty variant of the F Series, sold above the F 150 with Power Stroke diesel engines as an option. Ford assembles the trucks at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake.
