2001 Ford Super Duty

Automobiles

In 2001, to celebrate one million Super Duty trucks built since 1999, Ford released a Platinum Edition of the F 250 Super Duty. Its diesel was a 7.3 litre Navistar Power Stroke V8, which was retuned in 2001, and the Super Duty was sold as a pickup and a chassis cab. Ford assembles the trucks at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake. The Super Duty is a dedicated heavy duty variant of the F Series, sold above the F 150 with Power Stroke diesel engines as an option.
