For 1999 the RS trim was dropped for good because the Type R had taken its place, and there was no Type R in this model year. The sedan and liftback were still sold in LS, GS and GS-R form. The 1999 Integra later became notorious as the car American thieves targeted more than any other, and the 1998 model sat close behind it on the same list. The sedan and the liftback both stayed on sale, with the GS-R as the range-topper using a 170 horsepower VTEC engine.
