In 1999 Acura dropped the CL's Premium trim, so leather seats came on every model without an extra package. The 3.0CL, still with the 200 horsepower V6, moved to a different multi-spoke alloy wheel, and the 2.3CL, with its 150 horsepower four-cylinder, used a five-spoke double-prong wheel. It was the last year of the first generation, since the CL was never produced as a 2000 model, and the coupe returned as a redesigned car for 2001.
