The Cavalier was also available with a compressed natural gas bi fuel system for fleet customers from 1998 to 2004. In 1995 to 1998 Cavalier coupes were produced at the Lansing Car Assembly plant, and by 1997 the Cavalier had become the best selling car within the entire General Motors lineup, while most Cavaliers were still made at Lordstown Assembly. Chevrolet offered the natural gas bi fuel system to fleet customers through 2004.
