1996 Mazda 323

Automobiles

The Familia, Protege and 323 were facelifted in October 1996 with a newer, calmer style. To close a gap in the lineup, the BG hatchback with the 1.3 liter engine was kept available until October 1996, when the new hatchback model, the 323P, was introduced. In Australia and South America the older BG saloon continued to be sold until 1996 as a more affordable alternative to the newer BH. The Familia name means family in Latin.
