The 1996 Integra continued with the Special Edition trim, which was sold only in 1995 and 1996, alongside the RS, LS, GS-R and other trims in liftback and sedan form, and returned to the 10Best list. In Japan the Integra SJ, a rebadged Civic Ferio sedan, began production during 1996 and sold at Honda Verno dealerships, a car that North America never saw. The 1.8 litre VTEC GS-R, with 170 horsepower, a rear spoiler and a power moonroof, stayed at the top of the regular range.
