Starting with the 1995 second generation the large Blazer was rebranded as the Chevrolet Tahoe, and these mid size SUVs were simply called the Blazer and Jimmy. The all new Blazer was introduced in 1994 as a 1995 model, and the Jimmy was its GMC counterpart, built in Linden, New Jersey and Moraine, Ohio. The 1995 Jimmy was the first of the second generation, a mid size GMC SUV that was the twin of the all new 1995 Chevrolet Blazer.
