The 1995 Acura Legend was the last of the name, and it carried the same new bumpers, trunk lid, grille and tilt-telescoping column as the 1994 model. A limited-production SE sedan was added, essentially an L with two-tone paint, older 15-inch wheels and Special Edition floor mats, and it came with an automatic transmission. For the 1996 model year the Legend was renamed the 3.5 RL, the first of the RL line, as Acura moved away from names toward letters and numbers.
