For 1994 every Legend was given a redesigned front bumper and trunk lid, plus a power tilt-telescoping steering column, and the word Legend was spelled out in separate letters on the back. The base sedan was dropped, and a new GS sedan took over as the top variant, with the 230 horsepower Type II engine, upgraded brakes and sport suspension from the coupe and a standard six-speed manual, the only six-speed sedan offered.
