The Justy of 1993 was in the tenth year of the first generation, a subcompact hatchback with the 1.2 liter EF three cylinder engine and a five speed manual transmission or the continuously variable transmission. Justy models made in Japan were marketed in the United States for model years 1987 to 1994. In some regions it was also marketed simply as the J series, J10 for the 1.0 liter versions and J12 for the later 1.2 liter versions.
