The 1986 Plymouth Horizon continued as the Plymouth version of the Chrysler L platform five door hatchback, with the Horizon TC3 coupe renamed the Turismo. Chrysler assembled the Horizon at Belvidere Assembly in Illinois, the facility that assembled the entire line of L body vehicles including the Plymouth Turismo and the Dodge Charger. The Omni and Horizon were produced nearly unchanged from 1978 to 1990.
