In October 1985 the 1G-GTEU parallel twin turbo was installed in the Cresta's GT Twin Turbo trim package, a trim package name shared with the Chaser. The TEMS installation shared the same settings used in the 1986 Soarer and 1986 Supra. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Cresta (second generation, X70), 1984 to 1987, and the Toyota Cresta (third generation, X80) came next, following the 1984 model year.
