After the 1984 model year the 124 inch wheelbase Club Wagon passenger van was discontinued, and the 124 inch Econoline cargo van was dropped after the 1990 model year, which left the 138 inch wheelbase as the only option. The 1984 Econoline was a body on frame van built in Ohio. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014.
