The Omni and Horizon became the best selling Chrysler model line between 1978 and 1980. The Plymouth Horizon was built at the Belvidere Assembly plant in Illinois, alongside the Omni and the L body coupes, with a 99.2 inch wheelbase, front MacPherson struts and a rack and pinion steering system. The Horizon was a five door hatchback, and the Plymouth version differed from the Dodge only by its grille, taillamps and model badging.
