The bodywork of the pickup was changed for 1977 to match the Taunus TC2 and the Cortina Mk4. The cab was redesigned with the shorter front doors of the Mk4 four door models, and it was a coupe utility built in South Africa and known there as the Ford 1 Tonner. It began as the Cortina Pickup and ended in 1995 on the Sierra, built in Portugal. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe.
