The 1976 Colony Park continued as the Marquis line wagon with a pillarless hardtop roofline and a curb weight of nearly 5,000 pounds, which needed a large V8 as standard. Most surviving examples have one of the two larger V8 engines, the 400 or the 460, because these were far more popular. It kept concealed headlights and simulated woodgrain body panels as the senior Mercury wagon. Its rivals were the Buick Estate and Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser.
