The Mark IV Cortina, or TC2, arrived in 1976 as a rebody of the Mark III with a squarer, folded paper style, lower boot lid height and larger windows. Many parts, most notably the running gear, were carried over, and the raised driving position and new dashboard had been introduced in the final Mark III. Two door and four door saloons and a five door estate were offered, with only the 1.3 liter car ordered as a two door in the UK.
