The Mark IV Cortina, also called the TC2, was a more conservative rebody of the Mark III with little mechanical change, and it was largely appreciated by fleet buyers. It had a squarer body in the folded paper fashion of the time, lower boot and larger windows, and it produced the first Ghia top of the range model. The 2.3 liter Cologne V6 engine was added in 1977 above the 2.0 liter Pinto. It stayed Britain's best selling car through its run. Its model years run from 1976 to 1978.
