Topping the range for 1974 was the 460 cubic inch V8, which replaced the 429. The LTD's Police Package and Police Interceptor Package continued from 1973, the 460 Police Interceptor for heavy duty and high speed use. The LTD was in its sixth year on the 1969 redesign, powered exclusively by V8 engines including the 302, the 351 and the 400, and it remained among Ford's best selling cars. The 1974 LTD was also available as a station wagon.
