From 1973 to 1978 the LTD was available with a Police Package and Police Interceptor Package, with a 351 or 400 cubic inch motor for city patrol cars while the 460 Police Interceptor was for heavy duty and high speed use. The second generation LTD was by then in its fifth year, powered by 351, 400 and 429 V8 engines, with the 429 to be replaced by the 460 for 1974. The LTD of 1973 was one of the full size Fords that were sold in two door and four door hardtop forms.
