The cab of the pickup of 1973 used the doors of the two door Cortina sedan models, which gave it a long but truncated look. It was a coupe utility on the Taunus TC and the Cortina Mk3, introduced in South Africa two years earlier as the Cortina Pickup. It began as the Cortina Pickup and ended in 1995 on the Sierra, built in Portugal. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe.
