In Finland the Familia Presto was marketed as the Mazda Marella. The saloon and coupe were updated in 1972 in Japan, and in the autumn of 1973 for export markets, while the pickup and wagon continued largely unchanged. The Familia Presto had been the line's name since 1970, with the 1.2 liter engine of 58 horsepower sold abroad, and the first generation of the Familia Presto ended with the 1972 update. Kia built a version of the Familia as the Brisa.
