The 1970 Imperials differed only in minor ways, with a larger egg crate grille pattern, rectangular front cornering lamps, a wide chrome rocker strip, optional vinyl side trim and, for this year only, no fender skirts. It was the final year for the Crown series and the first year that the LeBaron out sold the Crown. Imperial offered only two models in two styles, a LeBaron and a Crown, each as a hardtop sedan and a coupe, and production totaled 11,816.
