A convertible joined the Road Runner line for 1969, and 2,128 were built, all with the 383 apart from ten that had the Hemi. The year also brought the Air Grabber hood scoop with a lever under the dash, new decals and slight changes to the grille and taillights. The 440 engine with three two barrel carburetors was added at mid year and came on a plain black fiberglass hood and plain steel wheels. Production of the Road Runner convertible was 2,128 cars.
