An ignition lock was added in 1969, and slight interior cosmetic changes were made for each new model year. The W-34 option code was available on the 1968 to 1970 Toronado, with dual exhaust outlets with cutouts in the bumper, and the 455 cubic inch V8 was rated at 375 horsepower, or 400 with W-34. The 1969 car was the middle year of the first generation, which kept the usual annual facelifts through 1970.
