1968 Mazda 323

Automobiles

In July 1968 Mazda added a Familia Rotary model to the range, offered as a two door coupe and four door saloon, the first of the rotary Familias. In this form the car was first exhibited in Europe at the 1968 Paris Motor Show in the autumn. The ordinary Familia kept the 1.0 liter 985 cc PB engine, producing 50 horsepower in export form, with the 1.2 liter TB engine of 58 horsepower following in 1968. Mazda built the Familia at its Hiroshima plant and also assembled it from knock down kits in several countries.
