Imperial styling was completely new for 1967 on the unibody platform shared with other full size Chrysler Corporation cars, but with a unique bodyshell and details that made it look less like the Lincoln. A base Imperial returned for the first time since 1963 beside the Crown and LeBaron, with the first four door pillared Imperial sedan since 1960, and dual brakes with front discs and lane change blinkers were standard. A Mobile Director option turned the front passenger seat rearward. Sales increased to 17,614.
