For 1967 the LTD underwent several changes, with a four door pillared sedan joining the range. To comply with federally mandated safety regulations it received a padded steering wheel center hub, non protruding instrument knobs, a dual circuit brake master cylinder and four way hazard flashers. The two door hardtop was given a formal profile and Twin Comfort Lounge 50/50 split bench seats became an option. Lincoln Mercury added the Marquis.
