1957 Ford Courier

Automobiles

For 1957 and 1958 the Courier adopted the two piece clamshell rear door of the Ford Parklane and Del Rio station wagons in place of its side hinged door. The 1957 car had the lower body and perimeter frame of the new full size Ford, and it was a two door sedan delivery. It began as a sedan delivery, became a Mazda built compact pickup, and later a Fiesta based van and coupe utility. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans.
