Ford also marketed a similar vehicle in 1956 derived from the F Series pickup truck, as a panel delivery, alongside the Courier sedan delivery. The Courier had the body of the two door station wagon, and a rear door that was unique to the sedan delivery. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans. It began as a sedan delivery, became a Mazda built compact pickup, and later a Fiesta based van and coupe utility.
