Honda produced the Legend, a line of executive cars with V6 engines that served as its flagship, between 1985 and 2021. It has also been sold under the Acura Legend, RL and RLX nameplates, the successive flagship vehicles of Honda's luxury Acura division in North America from 1986 until 2020, and this site lists the Honda Legend as the Honda model, noting that the Acura nameplates are a separate manufacturer decision. The first generation resulted from a joint venture with Britain's Austin Rover Group called Project XX, and was the first production Honda to offer only a SOHC V6 engine worldwide. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 5 generations: the first generation (1985 to 1989 model years); the second generation (1990 to 1994 model years); the third generation (1995 to 2003 model years); the fourth generation (2004 to 2012 model years); the fifth generation (2014 to 2021 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
