Honda launched the shorter, swoopier fourth-generation Legend, chassis KB1 and KB2, on October 7, 2004, and it was named Japan's Car of the Year, the fourth time in five years that a Honda had won. It introduced Honda's four wheel drive technology called Super Handling All Wheel Drive, SH-AWD, and the Legend was only available with that powertrain. The newly designed J35A 3.5 liter V6 changed to a 60 degree layout with VTEC and was capable of 300 PS, with a transverse installation, and Select-Shift on the 5 speed automatic. Each model year has its own page.
