Geo was a General Motors brand of small, cheap and efficient cars and SUVs sold as a subdivision of Chevrolet from 1989 to 1997. It came out of the company's partnerships with the Japanese makers Toyota, Isuzu and Suzuki, whose designs were badge engineered or built in North America: the Prizm at the NUMMI plant in California and the Metro and Tracker at the CAMI plant in Ontario, while the Spectrum and Storm came entirely from Isuzu. The Geo name was dropped in mid 1997 and the Metro, Prizm and Tracker were sold as Chevrolets until 2001, 2002 and 2004. The brand is defunct, and its models, generations and model years stay on this site with a link back to this page.
