Revision 5, introduced in November 1997 for the 1998 and 1999 models, brought clear fender turn signals, new 15 inch wheels, an adjustable rear spoiler and red rings around the gauges, and Japan received the new BEAMS 3S-GE rated at 200 PS. In 1998 Toyota Racing Development also offered its TRD2000GT wide body kit. It was model year 10 of 11 in the Toyota MR2 (second generation, W20), 1989 to 1999, coming after the 1997 model year and before the 1999 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota MR2 run from 1984 to 2007.
