The Willys-Overland CJ-2A, called the Universal Jeep, was the first full production civilian Jeep, sold from 1945 to 1949 for farming, ranching and industrial work. It looked like a civilianized wartime MB with a tailgate and a side mounted spare wheel, and used the Go Devil four cylinder engine with a stronger T-90 transmission. A total of 214,760 were produced before the CJ-3A replaced it. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the only generation (1945 to 1949).
