The CJ-2A ended in 1949, the year the Willys-Overland CJ-3A was introduced to replace it, with a total of 214,760 CJ-2As produced over the production run. The CJ-2A was primarily intended for farming, ranching and industrial applications, with a wide variety of attachments available, and it was the first full production civilian Jeep after the CJ-1 and CJ-2 prototypes, a model that set the pattern for all later CJ Jeeps.
